This research paper aims to offer a pragmatist perspective to ethical reflection on climate change. We begin by outlining key challenges faced by mainstream approaches in climate ethics, before introducing our pragmatist-inspired practical philosophy. We argue that fieldwork on climate ethics requires a pragmatist orientation that diverges, to some extent, from traditional climate ethics. In our view, pragmatist ethics provides a flexible axiological framework that integrates real-world conditions while fostering moral debate through situated argumentation.
